The use of ride share programs while traveling makes navigation of unfamiliar areas stress free. This also has allowed me to be more willing to explore more of the cities visited.

In our new home we installed NEST thermostats and LED lighting. Our windows are covered with energy saving shades that help insulate and limit cooling loss.

Electricity is either produced using hydro, nuclear, or NG steam combustion. The hydro power plant and nuclear facility uses the construction of one of the largest man made lakes in the US. This provides habitat for many plant and wildlife species.

This challenge came at the appropriate time in my life.  We recently closed on a new construction home which allowed me the opportunity to implement many "green" initiatives.  Programmable thermostats, LED lighting, the use natural lighting in the design, and low flow fixtures will help my family conserve.  Partnering with my energy supplier and enrolling in their energy conservation program will allow a home energy audit and their assistance in identifying and implementing energy saving improvements.
