    Week 2!
    I wasn’t perfect last week, and i’m not aiming for perfection this week. My goal is to check in every day at the end of the day. I hope to complete at least one challenge daily. And if I have the energy to go above and beyond, I will research recycling in my area to complete a one-time challenge I set for myself.

    Waste Reduce Single-Use Disposables
    Bringing your own bags and containers to the grocery store, and even to restaurants for leftovers, are a couple of ways to reduce your waste. What single-use items (e.g. straws, coffee cups, vegetable bags, plastic bags) do you regularly use? What could be substituted instead?

    Most of the single-use items I consume come from food-related purchases. Whether it’s groceries, fast food, or pizza delivery, reducing my dependence on fast, convenient food services will probably have a positive impact on my health as well as our environment. Next week I will prepare more food at home in reusable containers.

    Waste Use a Reusable Mug
    Maybe you've heard how good it is to switch from a single use coffee cup to a reuseable one but it's just hard to make the switch. Think about what stands in your way of making this a habit. By identifying the challenges, you can begin to work through them to have better success in taking this action. Knowing the difference you are making, how does it make you feel?

    What most excites me about adopting sustainable habits is the long-term cumulative effect of one small, smart change.
