    Demand and Supply seems backwards but where we spend our money is where the market will increase it's supply. Buying only sustainably caught fish influences the market to meet the demand of my purchase.

    What are other easy things you could do to save energy and reduce your environmental footprint?

    Keep lights turned off when not in use.  
    Purchase a programmable thermostat.  
    Plan your route prior to running errands for the most efficient route.  Combining trips helps a lot as well.
    Close shades and blinds on warm days.
